Steve and his assistant Rick worked quickly, efficiently and effectively, fixing whatever was wrong or damaged and doing things the right way instead of the easy or fast way. American Builders was originally hired to put up light fixtures, replace door handles, and repair the ceiling. They did so well that we then hired them to stain our garage doors, shutters, etc. They do great work for an excellent price. Extremely fair and pleasant to work with.

If you are looking for any level of work done to your deck, you can't go wrong with Steve and Ashley Malcolm of American Builders (based in Castle Rock)! A friend recommended them to me, and now I'm heartily recommending them to you. All of the houses on my block needed serious repairs to our 20-year-old decks due to shoddy building and rotting joists. Some neighbors have paid $20,000-30,00 to other contractors, and some took months to complete. Steve and Ashley gave me a very fair estimate (under $10,000) and completed the work in less than a month from start to finish. They gave me a detailed estimate, pointed me to quality materials, and explained each step of the way. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up carefully, and left me with a rock-solid deck I'll be proud of for another 20 years! No wonder I made them the honored guests at my 4th of July party-on my deck, of course!

We had Steve and Ashley come out after a horrible hail storm. Their bid was competitive. The work was outstanding and it looks like a new house now with new metal roof, new siding and new windows. Steve and crew were very respectful and helpful for my mom who has mild dementia. She felt safe having them around. We would definitely hire American Builders again!

We contracted with Steve and Ashley at American Builders to perform some critical repairs to our deck. We had major structural issues from some errors during initial construction (different builder) years ago, and needed the deck repaired before our kids' graduation parties. Steve and his team really brought their "A" game! They worked long and hard, communication was great, and the entire team was so courteous. Even with an unexpected snow delay, they still got my deck to an acceptable state in time for our event. We could not have asked for more from these guys. Now we'll have many more years enjoying our deck. We certainly will be using their services again in the future--for whatever construction needs we have!
